Everett Honored by Arkansas Center for Nursing

Rachel Everett, BSN RN CCRN, WRMC ICU Clinical Nurse Manager(Batesville, Ark.)—Arkansas Center for Nursing named Rachel Everett, BSN, RN, CCRN to the 2018 Arkansas 40 Nurse Leaders Under 40 list.  Everett is the White River Medical Center (WRMC) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Manager.  The Nurse Leaders Under 40 list honors emerging young nurse leaders. The Arkansas Center for Nursing recognizes talented nurses and encourages leadership and professional development.

In the nomination submitted by her peers, Everett is described as a leader dedicated to the patients in her care. She is a leader of the Code Sepsis Team, a team responsible for the implementation of protocols to ensure the quality of care for critically ill patients.  As Manager, Everett is committed to the professional development of her team and improving her skills as a leader.  She is a mentor to staff and an advocate for the nursing profession.
Everett has worked at WRMC for 7 years. Her career began in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as a bedside nurse.  She transferred to the ICU where her peers recognized her as a leader, and in 2017, Everett was promoted to ICU manager.

WRMC is a 224-bed regional referral center and the flagship facility of White River Health System. (WRHS) is a not-for-profit healthcare system serving residents throughout North Central Arkansas.  The system includes hospitals, outpatient facilities, primary care and specialty physician office practices, and Senior Life Centers.  WRHS is a member of the Premier Alliance, the American Hospital Association, and the Arkansas Hospital Association and licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health.
