Sarah Armstrong from Laboratory, is the White River Medical Center (WRMC) May Employee of the Month for best demonstrating the “Demeanor” Standard of Behavior.
Sarah has been an employee of WRMC for 13 years. As the Hematology/Coagulation Supervisor, Sarah works behind-the-scenes, processing laboratory tests that doctors count on to correctly diagnose and treat patients. She identifies abnormal blood cells, identifies specific bacteria and viruses by amplifying DNA and RNA, performs coagulation testing, and analyzes spinal fluid, urine, and other bodily fluids.
Additionally, Sarah monitors testing quality and ensures that compliance is maintained with government laboratory regulations.
Sarah enjoys working in an environment where everyone cares so much about our patients and our community. She is proud to say, “I work at White River Health System.”
Sarah is married to her best friend, Bobby Armstrong. They have seven children and eight grandchildren. She enjoys campfires, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
