Kevin Spears, SCMC COO (Mountain View, Ark.)--Gary Bebow, White River Health System (WRHS) Administrator /CEO is proud to welcome Kevin Spears as the Chief Operating Officer (COO)/Administrator of Stone County Medical Center (SCMC). Spears was named to the position following the retirement of Stan Townsend. As COO/Administrator, he will be responsible for overall operations at SCMC. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and in Occupational Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harding University in Searcy. “We are excited to welcome Kevin as the COO of Stone County Medical Center,” said Bebow. “His skills and knowledge of healthcare make him an excellent fit for this position, and I look forward to seeing him in this role.” Spears has more than a decade of leadership experience in the healthcare field. His experience in rehabilitation, combined with his mission to provide quality patient care and his knowledge of healthcare business positioned him into the role of director, and eventually, the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a large regional rehabilitation organization. “I enjoy all aspects of healthcare,” said Spears. “Stone County Medical Center’s history of providing excellent patient care is impressive, and I’m proud to be part of such a valuable group of people dedicated to taking great care of patients at SCMC.” Spears is married with two children, ages 10 and 17. “With a love for the outdoors, my family and I have spent years visiting this beautiful part of the state.
