The Cheering Section Gift Shop is operated and staffed by hospital volunteers. Proceeds fund the purchase of medical equipment, nursing scholarships, and volunteer special programs. The gift shop provides a great place for visitors and employees to shop for the latest in home décor and gift items. Our buyers attend markets in Dallas and Atlanta searching for the latest trends and gift ideas.

You can also select get-well items from the gift shop to be promptly delivered to a patient's room. Items available for phone/credit card orders are: Mylar balloons (single or bouquet), simple fresh carnation arrangements or rose bud vases.

Cheering Section proceeds benefit patient care, nursing scholarships, and volunteer special programs.

Submit the form below and your message will be hand-delivered to a WRHS patient during regularly scheduled hours of business, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. This is a quick and easy way to let your loved ones know you care!

Visiting Hours

During the COVID-19 public health emergency, hospitalized patients may have two visitors at one time. Patients may request a visit from their personal Minister/Priest. Family members age 16 and older are allowed to visit.

All visitors should use the White River Medical Center East entrance and Stone County Medical Center Emergency Department entrance. Visitors will be asked questions regarding possible COVID-19 symptoms and exposure, the name of the patient they wish to see, and asked to allow a temperature screening. Every person entering a WRHS facility is required to wear a surgical mask. One will be provided if needed. Bandanas, cloth masks, and neck gators do not provide adequate protection and are not permitted.

  • There is no limit on how many visitors a patient can have in a day. However, a patient may only have two visitors at a time in a room.
  • Exceptions to the policy may be made for patients receiving end of life care and other special circumstances.
  • Two parents or legal guardians are allowed to be with minor children receiving care in the emergency department, inpatient care, and outpatient surgery.
  • Patient visitors may dine in Café V and visit the gift shop.

Patients receiving outpatient care in the following settings may have one visitor/support person accompany them.

  • WRHS Clinics
  • WRMC Ambulatory Surgery Center
  • Outpatient Imaging and Surgery at Stone County Medical Center and White River Medical Center

We understand the challenge this creates for our patients and their loved ones. We are taking these measures for the protection of our patients and employees based on guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control. Thank you for your cooperation.

Act 311 of 2021 sets minimum standards for visitation for healthcare organizations licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH).  Read the ADH guidance for visitors here
